Women are Not the Only Group to Pursue Perfect Bodies

The previous reserches have revealed that women's enthusiasm of perfect body curves might result in turbulence of their diet systems. Now, we have new evidence to show that such crazy behavior is not found in women alone, men also realize the importance of having good-looking shapes. During the past 30 years, the press has created a complete set of requirements about what a guy's body should look like. Poor guys, they also suffer the pressure of improving their images, sometimes, this means unhealthy or even dangerous actions. They may calculate the calorie before taking a bite--just like what women used to do.

Body-building is for more opportunities.

According to the report from the Reuters on August 24, researchers of the Ohio State University told the media that men with strong and charming bodies would be more popular in almost every aspect in the society. So men tended to turn themselves into "the standard shape" to gain such preference.

The mirror and the ad should be blamed

Another research showed that, if men see better shaped guys in the ads, they may feel unsatisefactory about themselves.

Dr. Deccare of the Ohio State University and the suverpisor of the research group told us:" When a guy saw another man with ideal shape and strong muscles, he may fall into self-abasement."

According to the above conclusion, Dr. Deccare held a survey to find out the relationship between men's pressure to pursueing perfect body and their way of approaching this.

She chose 285 male college students as the samples, most of them were freshmen.

In this open survey, Decarre classified men's frequency of feeling bad of their bodies into different standards from "never" to "always".

The freshmen said, they "often" felt low when it concerns the body shape. They also admitted that they may turn to some improper ways to improve the situation. Deccare predicted that if there were weight-loss medicines for men available, they must be best sellings.
