 The mentor is typically more experienced than the protege. He or she possesses the wisdom that only experience can provide. The protege is someone who is looking to move up the career ladder, usually following in the footsteps of the mentor. The protégé receives guidance and helpful advice.

Many companies have programs for matching new hires with those already established in their jobs. Professional organizations may also have mentoring programs available.

It is important to choose a mentor whose goals are similar to your own. It is important, as well, to find someone who is on the same career path. Choose a mentor who has time to give to this relationship. Likewise, you must find the time to participate. As the one who will benefit most, you must make the initial step in establishing contact with a potential mentor. You must also work hard to maintain the relationship.

Top Ten Largest Growth Occupations

 From U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics . There are not all the most prestigious jobs, but, they are the ones with the highest number of projected new workers. There isn't any one category that will contain the most growth, rather the list is a cross-section of industries, including education, hospitality, and health. Retail leads the list with an increase of 736,000 new jobs by 2014. 703,000 registered nurses will be needed, along with 524,000 post-secondary teachers. Change is just a fact or life

Change is not necessarily good or bad. It is just a fact of life. Environment could change and we could change. And for woman, the changes are especially more and profound. According to Satir's theory, any change start with an foreign element in status quo, which we will initially resist and deny, then make us more "chaos", then we get used to it and integrates it with ourselves to reach a real status quo.
