Dating is dated on college campuses. "No time, no money, and no need." these are some reasons given by the college students. However, people who prefer to socialize in packs today have mixed feelings about the new social norm.

A girl student felt somewhat depressed because the number of dates she had in four years could be counted on one hand, while another girl isn't happy with the hook-up culture and said “I would love to have been pursued in more traditional ways.”(no email, no IM, I might add)

It's evident that girls still like the romantic dates. However, the fact is meeting at a local sports bar, going out for sushi with a gang of friends is becoming increasingly popular in campus. Why?

One of the reason is they feel easier going out in packs. Also there is a trend that young adults are choosing to marry later. So they are less inclined to look for a life partner in college, though they expect a romantic date to spice their college days up.
